1. A mood disorder is a type of mental illness that mostly affects the emotional state. They can generate long-lasting melancholy, elation, and/or fury. It is a condition in which you have long periods of great happiness, extreme sadness, or both. Other persistent feelings, such as anger and impatience, are present in certain mood disorders.
